Globe-trotter and polyglot

English then French then German and Swiss German then Spanish and Catalan then back to English again in Hong Kong, plus a little Mandarin too. What’s next?

Capturing so many life experiences in such a short time was not really difficult. Pauline Lampel was born in France, but never seemed to stop moving from the time she was three months old… As a baby, she moved with her family from Paris to Manchester, then to Lyon a few years later, then to Switzerland where she learnt Swiss German while skiing and sliding all winter with her classmates. Then she moved to Barcelona where she became a fan of Antoni Gaudí, “el Parque Güell” and “la Casa Battló”.

The longest time she spent in a country was in Hong Kong. She felt at home immediately and spent a lot of time wandering and shopping on the Kowloon side. Her passion for photography really started there. She studied a bit of Mandarin. She could practice it when she visited China: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, the three Gorges, and the Great Wall remains the most amazing monument she ever saw!

When she turned 17, Pauline left the beauties of Asia and came back to France to pursue her curriculum in Lyon, her hometown: a degree in Marketing & Communication in Lyon, as well as a 2 year’s degree in Spanish Language. Paris is her basis now where she ended her studies with a degree at EFAP Com.

Highly Imaginative

Today, despite living and working in Paris, she feels at home in Vietnam where her parents live. She spent some time over there and enjoyed picking up some sentences which she could share with this marvelous country’s inhabitants. She was also once in love with a Russian student and began studying the language.

During all these years, she has been practicing the piano. Her first teacher was a former Conductor of the Bregenz Festival Orchestra. He was very demanding thus giving her the passion for the instrument. Her last teacher was a specialist and concertist of Chopin.

Pauline loves sport which is very important for her well-being: Diving in the Philippines and Australia (PADI), kickboxing and wake-boarding in Hong Kong, snowboarding in Switzerland… More recently, she tried (and adored positively) kite-surfing in Vietnam.

Contemporary arts, photography and travels are her other hobbies. As with languages and cultures, Pauline is open to life’s exciting opportunities.

It’s all about passion

Due to her unique education, Pauline has this ability to adapt very quickly to completely new situations. This explains her adaptability to her multi-disciplinary position: mastering the naming software, conducting rigorous TM searches and investigations, assisting the company’s consultants, taking care of office management issues and finding web solutions.

She loves learning and sharing. Since she’s been learning and sharing her whole life, she knows how to connect with people anywhere in the world and knows that it is always an enriching experience. Her dream would be to meet Yann Arthus Bertrand, the famous French photographer, reporter and ecologist, author of Earth from above and the documentary Home.

Where will be her next destination…?
